Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Our Father,

Thank you for this new day you’ve given us. Please order our days and schedules in the coming week. Please help us to find the proper balance in all things. Please help us to be as physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually fit as we can be. We ask that you lead and guide us and prompt us when we are tempted to work too much and sleep too little. The Bible tells us that it is in vain to rise early and stay up late toiling. You say that you grant sleep to those you love…

For all who are working long hours just to pay the bills…for all who are unable to sleep due to illness, pain, taking care of others, insomnia, or the inability to shut off their minds… we ask for healing…we ask for help and provision… we ask for deliverance. We ask for wisdom and knowledge to know what things we can change to help ourselves. Please speak to us and help us if we need to let go of fears, the need to be in control, or the thought that everything depends on us. Help us to see clearly where we need to let go and trust you more, and when we need to step out in faith. Help us to recognize that you are our provider and that more rests on you than it does on us. Help us find the right balance between doing all we can and then leaving the rest in your hands. Help us to learn healthy boundaries with others, and where our responsibility begins and ends.

Our bodies are your temple, and you want us to take care of ourselves, but sometimes that seems impossible when our plates are overflowing with many struggles, demands, and things to do. We pray, but we don’t know where to find the help or resources we need to make changes. Help us to remember that we do not shoulder our responsibilities alone. You want to carry our burdens…you want us to take your yoke that is easy and light. Teach us and grant us wisdom and insight. Help us to learn from Christ’s example. He took the time to physically rest and made time alone with you a priority. Help us to do better and be better in all of these areas.

We thank you for your patience with us and for your loving-care, compassion, kindness, and great love for us. We are grateful you know each of our needs before we ask. Help us to trust you more and be good stewards with our time, our health, our resources, our relationships, and all that you’ve entrusted to us. We commit our week to you, and all that’s in it. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen

May you have a blessed week, friends!
