Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for bringing us to this first day of a new year and a new decade. We thank you for the possibilities of brighter days that lay before us. We recommit our lives to you this day. We ask you to forgive us of our sins and ask you to renew a right spirit within us.
We ask for your comfort and your strength for the difficult days that lie ahead. May we grow in your knowledge and grace and become more like Jesus with each passing day. This year may we experience your overcoming power like never before and truly live in the fullness of your joy.
Please help us to be brave and courageous in the battles we will face. May we be closer to you and stronger in our faith by the end of the year than we are at this moment. Help us to be men and women after your own heart who please you, bring honor to your name, and bear much fruit for your kingdom.
Help us to dream big, pray boldly, and not limit you in any way. Your Word says we have not because we ask not. We ask for your blessing to be upon our health, our finances, and our relationships. We ask for your peace to fill our lives and our homes. Please pour out your grace and mercy and help us to serve you well. Please bless us, so we can bless others.
Please continue the work you’ve begun to heal the broken areas of our lives. May we rise from the ashes and find renewal and restoration. Please bring peace and calm where there is chaos and lead us from the dark valleys into your glorious light. We look forward to all you have for us in this coming year. We ask all of these things, but above all, we ask for your will be to be done, not our own. You know what we need and what is best for us. Help us to trust you, your plans, and your timing in all things. We love you, Lord. We are so grateful for you and for all you’ve given us. We praise you and thank you for allowing us to see another year. Help us to make the most of each day and to take nothing for granted. We are grateful that we can ask these things in the name of our Savior, Jesus, Amen.
Praying God’s abundant blessings be poured out upon you!
