Daily Prayer For December 29, 2019 Empty Daily Prayer For December 29, 2019

on Sun Dec 29, 2019 7:58 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Please help us to not become bogged down with things like stress, problems in relationships, and misunderstandings. Help us to handle situations like Jesus would. Help us to weigh our words before we speak, May the things we say be edifying and full of wisdom, mercy, grace, and compassion…

Sometimes we are called to advocate for others…to speak up for our children, for an elderly parent or someone you put in our path. At times, no matter how hard we try to avoid it, conflict is inevitable. We may need to speak the truth, and the other person doesn’t want to hear it or face it. There are times when we try so hard to make our words sound kind, yet despite our best efforts and intentions, feelings get hurt…relationships become strained… people get mad or take things wrong, and it can be so disheartening. We tried our best to do the right thing, and yet things still ended up a mess.

Please help us in our difficult situations and relationships. Please help us resolve the issues that need to be worked out with others. Teach us when we need to persist in trying to mend relationships, and when we need to walk away. Please impart to us your wisdom and knowledge, and may your will be done, not our own. Please comfort us when our hearts are heavy…when we miss what was…when we have trouble accepting what is…when we don’t know what the next step to take should be…when we just want to withdraw from others because we’re weary from being misunderstood and hurt.

We take comfort knowing that you go before us. You know our hearts and intentions, even if others don’t. You know where we need to improve, and you are a faithful Father who never turns anyone away when they ask for help or wisdom. Help us to take responsibility for the things that we can change in our own lives and help us, so we don’t take on anything that is not our responsibility or our problem to solve. Change and loss are so difficult. Help us to remember that you close doors and open doors…not everyone who comes into our lives is meant to stay permanently in our lives. Please, heal, lead and guide, comfort, renew, and restore according to your will and in your timing. We are grateful for your help and guidance, and we thank you in advance for all you will do. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen

May you feel the Lord’s comfort and nearness!

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
