Daily Prayer For December 15, 2019 Empty Daily Prayer For December 15, 2019

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We thank you for the power that you give us to do your will and to live a life that is pleasing to you. It’s not what we lack that matters. It’s your ability in us that makes all things possible for those who believe. As we reach out to help others, you help us. As we comfort others, we find comfort and healing ourselves. You fill us and pour into us, so we might pour out into others your grace, peace, encouragement, hope, and love.

Many of us are dealing with plates that are overflowing with responsibilities and adversity, and the thought of adding one more thing seems impossible and overwhelming. Help us to see opportunities that are in front of us even when we are feeling overwhelmed. Give us discerning hearts that pay attention to the people you put in our path. Perhaps we are just to be prayer warriors and intercede for public figures, those who serve, or someone we hear about in the news or on social media. Perhaps it’s to give a kind word to someone we encounter or to pray for someone who is going through the same things we are going through. May we never be so wrapped up in ourselves that we don’t see the people you place on our hearts or put in our path.

We will never fully know the impact of our words, actions, prayers, or acts of kindness on this side of heaven. The enemy likes us to think that our actions and prayers are insignificant and of no consequence, but even the smallest actions can have ripple effects that last throughout eternity. Help us to be open to any way you might choose to use us. Help us to not squelch your work in us and through us with our thoughts or what we perceive as our limitations. Help us not to quench the working of your Holy Spirit in our lives. Help us to be open to how you want to work and when you choose to work. May we surrender to you and submit our will and desires to yours.

Please help us to see the possibilities and opportunities in every situation and give us your vision that sees beyond the obvious. Please provide us with insight, wisdom, and an awareness of your Spirit guiding us. Help us to remember that endings can lead to beautiful new beginnings. Closed doors will lead us to the right open door. Help us to live up to our calling and to persevere with endurance that we might receive the fullness of your blessings and rewards. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen

May His light shine brightly through you, friends!
