Daily Prayer For December 13, 2019 Empty Daily Prayer For December 13, 2019

Hello, Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today…

Dear Lord,

We pray for all who are feeling stressed today. Please ease their tension. May they feel your peace overtake them in body, mind, and spirit. Please help us all to find the place where we can “let go” and trust you to handle the things that are stressing us out. You handle everything far better than we can. Help us to learn how to do our best and be satisfied that our best is all anyone can do. Please help us to trust you to do what we cannot…

Too often, we struggle with expecting to be able to do everything, especially during the holidays. We think we should be able to “do it all” and be able to keep the same pace we always did…but that’s not always possible, especially during times of illness, grief, and adversity. Help us to remember that sometimes you allow things to happen so we will slow down …so we will have time to spend with you…so we will stop and hear your voice. Help us not to be stubborn or defiant about the things you call us to do, especially when you are calling us to rest or slow down. Even Jesus took time out to be alone, to regroup, and to spend time alone with you.

Help us to be good stewards with our time and our health. Help us not to have unrealistic expectations for ourselves or others. We ask you to order our days. Please help us with our schedules and to-do lists. Help us to keep our priorities straight. Help us to remember the reason for the season. Our friends and family members do not want us to run ourselves down or run ourselves ragged trying to get the perfect gifts for everyone or in attempting to have a perfectly cleaned and decorated house. Help us to remember that our bodies are the temple of your Holy Spirit, and taking care of every area of our lives is essential.

We pray that each of us would find time to read your Word and spend time alone with you in prayer. May we be led to the perfect soothing and calming words from you. We ask for your wisdom and discernment for the answers and understanding we seek. May we gain new strength as we enter into your presence and refocus and realign our heart with yours.

Please bless all who are reading this prayer and their loved ones. May your favor be upon them, and your grace sustain them. We thank you for being our Lord and Savior and our faithful companion. How blessed we are to be yours. With gratitude, we thank you in advance for all you will do. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen

May you have a peaceful day and weekend!

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
