Daily Prayer For December 11, 2019 Empty Daily Prayer For December 11, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Parents often must ask their children to do things that they don’t understand. Parents have wisdom, insight, and experience that their children don’t. When parents ask their children to obey, it’s for their own good. Children are disciplined for their own good. Children are asked to trust that their parent’s actions are motivated by love, even when it doesn’t seem like it. Children don’t realize that their parents are invested in them more than anyone else…and they only want the best for their children.

As our Heavenly Father, you also ask us to do things that we don’t understand. You always have our best interests at heart. You have wisdom, experience, and knowledge that we don’t. You discipline and chastise those whom you love. You are more invested in us than anyone else ever could be. Help us to remember your Father’s heart towards us so we willingly trust and obey without hesitation or protest.

There are many examples in the Bible of people who you asked to do incredible things. Abraham offering up Isaac. Joshua walking around the walls of Jericho. Noah building the ark. You asked people to do these things that seemed hard, beyond impossible and made no sense. When they were faithful and obedient, they were rewarded with miracles. They became heirs of righteousness, according to their faith.

Father, you want us to have child-like faith. You want us to learn that you will not fail us and to see that you have a plan for our good that is beyond anything we could dare to dream or imagine. Help us to remember the examples you’ve given us of people after your own heart. Help us to remember your miracles. Help us to look around our world and see all the things that were once thought to be impossible, but because of faith and perseverance are now a reality.

Please help us to trust you like a child. Help us to trust your heart towards us when we can’t understand what you are doing. Help us to believe you are near, even when we can’t see signs of your nearness. Help us to be obedient knowing you see the bigger picture that we don’t. For all who had parents who were abusive, negligent or didn’t have their best interests at heart, please heal their hurts and help them to find the kind of relationship with you that they only dreamed was possible. Help each one to overcome all they’ve been through so they can experience the fullness of your perfect love for them.

May we all find rest in your arms and see you move mightily on our behalf. May we live in expectation that you, our Abba Father, have not brought us this far to abandon or fail us now. We thank you in advance for all you will do and we ask these things in Jesus’, name. Amen

Blessings be upon you, friends!
