Daily Prayer For November 25, 2019 Empty Daily Prayer For November 25, 2019

on Tue Nov 26, 2019 6:06 pm
Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

Life goes by so fast. Though you know each of our days before we have lived even one, none of us know the length of our days or years. It’s so easy to take things and people for granted. It’s so easy to get caught up in doing menial things that consume our time…things that feel like they are the most pressing and vital use of our time, but really aren’t in the grander scheme of things.

We put off so much, thinking there will be more time later… or there will be another day down the road, yet we are not guaranteed another day.  Many of us have regrets when someone passes because we didn’t take time to make a call or go see someone that had been on our hearts.  Many people put off going to the doctor when they know something is wrong, only to find that their delays have had dire or lethal consequences. There are so many things we put off thinking we are too busy and will do it tomorrow only to find that tomorrow doesn’t come.

Life is full of regrets…things we wish we could change, but can’t. Things we wish we had done differently, and then we are haunted by, “what ifs and if only’s.” Lord, please help us to not put off anything we shouldn’t. Help us when we hear the Spirit prompting us to listen to your voice and not anything that would tempt us to put off what you are calling us to. Please grant us wisdom and discernment in all areas of our lives. May we be led by the Spirit and not by the tyranny of the urgent.

Our adversary often keeps us busy and preoccupied with ” menial stuff,” so we will not be able to have meaningful conversations that might lead to salvation. He tries to distract us, so we might say we are too busy to help someone in need or to take the time to care for ourselves or someone else. There are so many time wasters and time suckers that we all must deal with. Help us to walk closer to you and be more tuned in to your voice, so we have few missed opportunities and divine appointments.

So many live with fear…fear that keeps them from getting the help they need. Fear that keeps them trapped in a world with secrets because they fear what others will think if the truth were known. So much goes on behind closed doors that keep people stuck, trapped, and cut off from help and freedom. Help us to live and walk in your freedom in every area of our lives. We ask the same things for our friends and loved ones. Help us to make the most of our days and to live with an eternal perspective. We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

Praying blessings over you, friends!
