Daily Prayer For October 6, 2019
on Mon Oct 07, 2019 8:32 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
As we gather here to pray, we share in each other’s sufferings. The Bible says that if one part of the body suffers, we all suffer. The Bible tells us to stand firm in the faith and resist the enemy and know that our brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
Our struggles should serve as a reminder to pray for others. We are all connected. We all have different roles, purposes, and gifts within the body of Christ. We all belong to each other and to you. Our suffering should remind us that all around the world, at this very moment, we are in a battle between darkness and light. When we are praying for our own needs throughout the day, may we be reminded to pray for others who are facing the same trials, health issues, grief, and losses.
We are all painfully aware of all that is wrong in our world. We can’t right all the wrongs or even help all who we see who are in need, but we can stand in agreement as we gather and lift up our brothers and sisters in Christ. We pray for the sick, the hungry, the homeless, the poor, the abused, the persecuted, the suffering, all who are ill or grieving, and all who feel hopeless. We pray for revival. We pray that your Holy Spirit will do a mighty work. We ask that all people will feel a touch from you and see a need for you. We pray for hope to spread like a light in the darkness. We pray for all who don’t know you. We don’t need to see how you will work, we just need to be faithful and pray, and you will do the rest.
May our trials also remind us of our need for you. May they remind us of your nearness and your promise that you will never leave us or forsake us. You gave everything, so we might live…you have not brought us this far to abandon us now. You will not fail to respond to all who call on you in truth. You will faithfully sustain us and provide for us. We thank you in advance for all you will do. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.
Praying blessings over you, dear brothers and sisters!
