Daily Prayer For September 11, 2019
on Wed Sep 11, 2019 6:41 pm
The World Trade Center cross, also known as the Ground Zero cross, is a group of steel beams found among the debris of the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan, New York City, following the September 11 attacks in 2001.

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Today we once again remember the tragic events in 2001. That day changed our whole world in so many ways. We saw the worst in humanity and the best all at once. We have images that are forever etched in our minds that remind us of the shock, horror, pain, loss, and incredible acts of selflessness, kindness, sacrifice and unconditional love that surrounded that day.
We pray for all who lost loved ones because of the events on 9/11/2001. May they find a measure of comfort knowing that the world has not forgotten. This happened on U.S. soil, but there were many from other countries who also lost their lives that day. We pray for comfort for families and people everywhere who are feeling a sense of sadness, loss, and grief today. We pray for all who have lost loved ones, their homes, and their way of life due to terrorism, persecution, and violence.
We ask for your healing hand to be on all whose health has been affected because they were responders to this tragedy. So many suffer the physical effects of all the chemicals, dust, and pollutants they were subjected to. So many have PTSD and nightmares from all they saw. They truly gave sacrificially of themselves, and we lift them to you with gratitude in our hearts. We ask that you would bless them and their families for the sacrifices that they made and we ask you to meet and provide for their every need.
The events of that day remind us that we live in a fallen world that is full of evil and pain. This photo reminds us of the cross, the resurrection, and all of the sacrifices that Jesus made for us. Because of Jesus, there is redemption, salvation, and hope. Evil and death don’t have the last word, You do. We are grateful that there is coming a day where there will be no more evil, sin, tears, pain, suffering, loss, or death.
May we learn to love our neighbors as ourselves and treat others the way we would like to be treated. May we show your loving-kindness, grace, and compassion. May we never forget to pray for our world, our enemies and those who don’t know you. We pray that our communities and nation would once again have that sense of unity that we all felt after 9-11. It was not only in the U.S., but it was felt around the world. For a brief, shining moment, we were united, instead of being divided by our differences. May it be so again. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen
May you feel His comfort and nearness today.
