Daily Prayer For August 4, 2019 Empty Daily Prayer For August 4, 2019

on Sun Aug 04, 2019 5:02 pm
Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

We lift up to you the people in El Paso who are grieving today. We pray for your comfort all who lost loved ones. We pray for all who have been injured and ask for your healing hand to be upon them. We pray for all who have been impacted and traumatized by yesterday’s tragedy. We pray that people will turn to you to be their source of hope, comfort, and strength. We pray that people will come to know you as Lord and Savior and know that your gospel is the good news that we all need to cling to amid heartbreaking tragedies. You are the Savior that this broken and lost world needs. Reveal yourself amid the darkness, Lord. May people see you for what you are…The Way, Truth, and Life…The Light of The World, our Redeemer, our Deliverer. People pray for peace, but what we need is you, The Prince of Peace.  We pray for our enemies. We pray for people who do not value the lives of others. We pray for those who wish to unleash their rage and anger in destructive ways. We pray for those who want to cause upheaval and incite violence. We pray for those whose lives are ruled by the dark one who fills them with hate and evil.

We pray for revival in our world. We pray that good will overcome evil. We pray that the Body of Christ will not be complacent or apathetic in praying and interceding against evil, for the lost, and for our leaders. We pray that you will move our hearts and convict us to be salt and light right where we are. You call us all to different things…we all have different roles and purposes in your body and church, but each part is just as valuable and vital as the next. We are all needed to function as we should. Help us not to be sidelined or distracted from our real purpose for being here. Help us to become mighty prayer warriors who are actively engaged in prayer to fight for lost souls and those who would seek to eliminate you from our lives and world.

Your Word tells us of all that would happen in the last days. We are not to be surprised, but to look up as our redemption draws near. We are not to waste our time on useless arguments. We are not to be anxious, worried, or afraid because you are with us. Remind us of what you have taught us in Your Word. Remind us that we are to have the mind of Christ and to be singularly focused on doing your will and living our lives in a way that you will be glorified. Help us to treasure all you’ve given us and take nothing for granted. In Jesus’ name, we pray and ask these things. Amen

May His comfort and peace be with you.

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
