Daily Prayer For July 14, 2019
on Sun Jul 14, 2019 7:57 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
We know all too well, that life can change in an instant. All it takes is one disaster, one phone call, one accident, one doctor’s visit or one poor decision, for everything to change. None of us knows what tomorrow holds, but we know that you hold us and all of our tomorrows in your hands.
We are assured in your Word that you care about our every need. You care about every tear we shed. You grieve with us when we hurt. You lavish your love upon us through every season of life. You stand with us through the highs and the lows and you never let go of us. We are grateful for all you do.
Life can be hard. We see splashes of h**l in this life…things like evil, illness, pain, suffering, loss, and death. As believers, we know that is all we will see of h**l…but the splashes of heaven that we see…your faithfulness, all the goodness, kindness, blessings, love, peace, joy, and beauty…well, these are only a taste of what is to come.
Help us to always remember that this world is not our home and we are only passing through. Our citizenship is in heaven. Our home is in heaven…and all of the hard stuff we deal with here is just the dark before the glorious dawn that is coming. You tell us to encourage each other. May we continue to encourage ourselves and everyone else that we can with your truth. All of the struggles of this life are momentary when compared with eternity and they can’t begin to compare with the joy that is coming. The pain of this world, can’t begin to compare to the peace that is coming. Everything about this earth will fade away the moment we are welcomed home by you. Your glory will outshine and overtake all the darkness, the battles will be over and you will wipe away the last tears from our eyes. What glorious things await us as your children. We are grateful for the hope and promise of things to come to those who believe.
We love you, Lord. We thank you for hearing our prayers. We thank you for your faithfulness. We thank you for giving us glimpses of glory and your Word to encourage us. We thank you for desiring to spend time with us and for your amazing grace that makes blind eyes to see. May our lives be like a beacon on a hill that points the way to you so others can find the hope that you offer. In the name of our Redeemer and Savior Jesus, we ask these things. Amen
Blessings, hugs, and love to you friends.
