Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you with grateful, thankful hearts.  We are grateful for our Savior Jesus who made a way that we might find forgiveness, redemption, healing and salvation. We thank you Lord, for the fellowship that we have with other believers and the opportunity to worship you freely. May we never take for granted the blessing of owning a Bible or the ability to publicly proclaim your name without risk of persecution.

We thank you, Lord for the people we have had in our lives who have loved us, supported us and encouraged us. What a blessing it is to be loved and appreciated…

We pray for those who have heavy hearts today…. May they find your joy to be their strength… May they find comfort in your arms and peace in their hearts as they look to you…

Whether we are in times of plenty, or times of need, we know that everything comes from you. We are grateful for your promises to take care of us…thank you for being our loving Father and faithful provider. Help us to appreciate the things we take for granted…things like the ability to see and hear… the ability to breathe easily and well… the days when we can move freely or are pain free…too often we don’t appreciate our health until it is gone…we thank you for things like clean, hot and cold water, shelter, food, clothing…help us to be more aware of what we have instead of what we lack.

We thank you for the gifts of life and love… Each day is a precious gift, a vapor that quickly passes…help us to truly treasure our days. May we be filled with gratitude as we think about all the ways you have been there for us and our loved ones…the many times you have answered our prayers…

Lord, we thank you for all that awaits us in heaven. We thank you for your peace, mercy and grace. We thank you for the Bible and the life-sustaining and transforming things within it. We thank you for setting us free…Lord, there is so much to be grateful for…we lose site in the daily grind of how blessed we are…may we never take for granted all that so many have sacrificed to give us our freedoms…for all that so many believers sacrificed to spread your message of hope and good news…

Please bless all who are reading this in ways they’ve never known and can’t begin to imagine. Help us to grow and thrive spiritually and to live with an attitude of thanksgiving and gratitude, not just one day a year, but every day of our lives. We love you, Lord. We thank you that we can pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Happy Thanksgiving friends…I am thankful for each of you!

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
