Daily Prayer For August 17, 2018
on Fri Aug 17, 2018 10:35 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
We are grateful to have you as our beacon that lights our way in the darkness. When we think of the cross, everything becomes clear…we are all sinners in need of Savior and it is by your grace we are saved…we are not saved by any actions or deeds of our own…we all fall short…none of us are perfect or able to save ourselves…it is only by the precious blood of our Savior Jesus that we find our identity and our salvation…
Thank you for saving us, for forgiving us and for cleansing us…thank you for transforming us and renewing our minds and our lives…thank you for redeeming all that is dark and wrong… and thank you for making a way so we can have an eternal home with you.
Lord, there are so many who are praying with us who are facing such painful and difficult losses and circumstances…many are displaced and dealing with disasters…there are many who have lost loved ones…others who have incredible financial burdens…countless others who are dealing with unbearable pain, illnesses and physical and mental health challenges …many who are heavy-hearted as they watch loved ones and friends dealing with difficulties…and so many are just dealing with multiple things all at once…
Please do what we can’t…when we feel helpless and powerless, remind us that prayer is not a concession or a last resort, but the number one most important thing we can do to help and change things…thank you for hearing our prayers…thank you for your comforting presence…thank you for your still small voice that let’s us know that everything will ultimately be okay and that all this hard stuff will be like a quickly fading vapor in light of eternity…
We bless you and praise your name. We commit this day to you and all that’s in it and pray that your will be done in our lives. In the name of our Savior Jesus we pray. Amen
Blessings be upon you friends!
