Daily Prayer For May 29, 2018 Empty Daily Prayer For May 29, 2018

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

Help us to take time to sit with you and be still before you…sometimes the darkness around us is just palpable…it feels like the walls are closing in and there is just a constant churning in our spirit…peace seems so elusive while anger, strife, stress and bad news seems to seek us out…

Thank you for offering us a place of sanctuary in your presence… thank you for the intimacy, peace, comfort and clarity you give us in a world that seems to be increasingly noisy, chaotic and unfamiliar… thank you for giving us a safe place to voice our complaints, hurts and questions…a non-judgmental place where we can be totally real and honest with you about our worries, burdens, fears and pain…you offer us intimacy and acceptance the likes of which we will never know with anyone else…you have an open door and an always extended invitation to come before you…all we need to do is come with an open heart that is ready to receive from you.

Help us to remember the words Jesus spoke to Martha…”you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed, indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better”…there will always be demands and cares pressing on us…there will always be a list of things to do and deal with…but there is nothing that we need more…there is nothing we can choose that is better for us in every way than to sit at your feet and listen to your voice… to receive all we need to be in this world, but not be of it…in your presence we exchange our cares for your peace…we find release, restoration, renewal and healing…we find your comfort, wisdom and guidance…we receive all renewed energy, hope and strength.

In the stillness of this moment, we come to you with open hands and a surrendered heart and ask you to speak to us…we are listening …we thank you that your mercy is new not only every morning, but every moment…please empty us of everything that is not of you…please renew a right spirit within us…lead us beside still waters…you tell us to call to you and you will answer us and tell us great and hidden things that we haven’t known…we want to receive all that you have for us…please fill the dry, barren places in our hearts with your Living Water so we feel your Spirit coursing within us…we thank you and praise you for all that you are, for all that you have done and for all that you’ve yet to do. We thank you that we can come before you in the name of our Savior and Messiah Jesus. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!
