Daily Prayer For September 8, 2017 Empty Daily Prayer For September 8, 2017

on Fri Sep 08, 2017 4:30 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you that when our hearts are overwhelmed, we can call out to you and find refuge…you are the rock on which we stand when our world seems to be crumbling and falling apart…you are our towering fortress we can count on…our refuge…our salvation…we are under your protection and watchful eye…what a comfort it is to know these things when we see and hear all that is going on…you are the light in the darkness and there is no darkness in you…

Father, during difficult times, may we remember your Word…your Word was written to give us hope, encouragement, and courage…when we remember people like Job and your apostles…they faced every kind of loss and hardship…they had times of discouragement…Job didn’t always understand what was happening, but he knew that his Redeemer lives…we think of all the hardship that the apostles endured… we can see that the only way they could endure the losses and adversity was because they knew that Jesus lived…that Christ resurrected and living within us changes everything…may we hold onto that truth in times of difficulty…may we find our hope in our beloved Savior who brings new life from death and reaches out His hand and says “Fear Not, for I am with you, even until the end of the age.”

We thank you that we are not alone, we are not forgotten, we are not defenseless…the enemy likes to hit us with one thing after another like he did with Job so he couldn’t gain any footing….so he would feel defeated, discouraged, abandoned and helpless…help us remember that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is in us…your Spirit is within us…Your Spirit that is our great source of comfort…your Spirit and presence allowed the apostles to sing while imprisoned…it allowed them to keep pressing on because they knew that this life and it’s trials are like a vapor compared to eternity and they can’t begin to compare to the joy that is coming…your apostles saw the resurrected Jesus and that kept propelling them on to share the hope and joy that comes from knowing that we serve a resurrected King…

May our hearts be full of hope and joy even in the midst of difficult days…the storms may rage…our hearts may grieve…but we can have your joy which is our strength because you are alive and well and sitting on the throne and no matter what may come against us, you are for us and with us and we can get through this day and every day to come, because we can do all things through Christ who gives us His strength. Thank you, Lord, …thank you. We give you this day and all that’s in it and pray we will be lights in the darkness that encourage others with hope and point the way to you. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends! Keep looking up. Our redemption draws near.
