Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

Lord, we lift up to you all who are grieving…we lift up every one who has been told they should just “get over” their grief…for everyone who has had someone say hurtful things that compounded their pain and losses…for everyone who has needed compassion, understanding and friendship and has not found it when they needed it most… may each hurting heart find comfort from your Word  and in your presence… may they be assured that grief is a normal and natural response to loss….that there is no timetable for grief and no two people grieve the same…help us to comfort others with the same comfort that you have given us…Lord, please touch every wounded heart and mind.

We pray for those who have bought into the lies of society that make them feel like they are failures because they do not lead the life that others consider successful…we pray for all who have self-image issues…we pray for all who don’t see themselves as you see them…please break the tapes that repetitively play the painful memories and hurtful words from the past. Replace those images and words with your healing truth.
We lift up each person who has suffered at the hands of verbal bullies taunting them with distorted and misplaced truth and lies… we pray for every person who is verbally, mentally, or emotionally abusive. Please open their eyes so they can see a need to repent and change and realize the damage they have done. If there is abuse, or unresolved issues in the abusive person’s past that they need to deal with, we ask for revelation and healing…please break any cycles of abuse or addiction…please bring about recovery, healing and reconciliation.

Lord, we are all works in progress…help us to be kind as many deal with hurts the world does not see or know about…may our pain, difficulties and stories be used for good to help others overcome and find hope. May first steps, healing, cleansing, renewing and restoration begin today.  We thank you that we can count on you to complete the good work you have begun in each of us. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

~Hope For The Brokenhearted
