Daily Prayer For May 16, 2019 Empty Daily Prayer For May 16, 2019

on Fri May 17, 2019 11:29 am
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Today we lift up all who struggle with their sense of self-worth. May those who have been beaten up by the world, those who have known rejection and abuse, those who have felt unloved and unwanted, remember who you say they are. Help all of us be mindful that Jesus was despised and rejected and was well acquainted with sorrow and grief. We are told that if Jesus, who was perfect, was mistreated, the world will treat us the same way as well. Help us to remember that truth. Help us to cast off the chains that the enemy uses to enslave and trap us. Heal our minds and hearts. Help us to forgive those who hurt us…who the Son sets free is free…help us to walk in the freedom that Jesus paid so dearly for.

The enemy comes to rob, kill and destroy…help us to be always on guard…help us to protect our minds with your truth. Help us to rise up and be so secure in you, that we never allow ourselves to become enslaved by what others think about us or their opinions. Help us so we don’t make trying to please others an idol in our lives. May your truth alone be what defines who we are, what we do, how we live and what we think.

Life is so brief and so fleeting and we spend so much time trying to overcome mistreatment by others… we want to surrender everything to you now and ask that you take these things from us once and for all. Heal us, Lord, that we may be healed. Help us to let go and move forward from our pain. May our scars be a reminder of how you’ve healed us, not of who wounded us. Help us not to waste any more of our precious time on these things that keep us from living the full and abundant life you have called us to.

We are grateful that there is healing, freedom, restoration, and redemption in your name. When Jesus was on earth, he always reached out to the outcasts, the ill and those who society looked down on. He always had a heart for the hurting. Help us to have that same heart and mind. May the things that we’ve been through make us more compassionate, loving and devoted to praying for those who are dealing with the same issues. May we be known by our love and treat others the way we wish to be treated. May the changes we would like to see in this world, begin with each of us. In Jesus’ name, we ask these things. Amen.

May you find healing and hope in Him!
