Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We thank you for your love that never ends…we are grateful that your tender mercies never stop and that they are new every morning. We thank you for this new day… we thank that we are covered by your grace, our sins are forgiven and we are saved by our Risen Savior.

We offer up our praise and thanks today…help us to saturate our minds with praise and your promises. May gratitude become our dominate emotion. May we fix our minds on things above and mediate on how loved we are by you. May we be mindful that you have gone to prepare a place for us…a place where we will live with you forever. May we live with excited anticipation for what the future holds…may we live expecting to see your goodness and your blessings. May we be as excited for what awaits us, as a bride waiting expectantly for her bridegroom. You want us to feel loved and cherished. You want us to feel secure in the knowledge of who we are in you.

Help us to remember that because of your great love for us, we are made alive in Christ. The old things have passed away. So often we focus on the frailty of this life. We see and feel how our bodies are aging…our list of ailments and aches grows longer the older we get…we see more things change in this world…we lose more loved ones… and in the midst of tallying all the pains, losses and changes, we forget that we are being made new each day…every day that passes, brings us one day closer to you…one day closer to being united with you and those who have gone before us.

Everything we are experiencing here is to be considered just a momentary affliction compared to eternity and can’t begin to compare with the wonderful things that are coming…it’s more than our minds can comprehend or take in… we are chosen. We are redeemed. We are purchased with the precious blood of Jesus. We are beloved by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. What glorious truths to fill our hearts up with joy this day. We praise you and thank you and look forward to spending this day with you. May we live loved and share love and rejoice for your goodness and grace. We thank you that we can ask these things in the name of our Messiah Jesus. Amen.

May your hearts overflow with His peace and joy!
