Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for giving us another day of life. Thank you for your mercies that are new every morning…thank you for your fresh grace and a day full of promise and possibility. We’ve often heard the phrase, “today is the first day of the rest of our life”…may today be the day that we start to once and for all defeat the giants in our lives. We all have at least one…whether it’s regret, a bad habit, a secret sin, a self-defeating thought, a hurt from the past we can’t let go of…giants take many forms and the impact they have on us is different for each of us, but they are there none the less…they are a tool the enemy uses to hold us back and keep us from walking in your freedom and peace and they try to keep us from being all you’ve called us to be.

Please help us to remember that you go before us…you empower us and equip us…angel armies surround us…we are more than conquerors…help us to change our mindsets…help us to see ourselves as victors instead of victims…overcoming our thoughts is half the battle… perspective changes everything….if we think we can’t, the battle is over before it’s begun…but if we remember that you are with us and for us and victory is ours, not by our might or power, but through the power of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, then we will not fail… victory does not always go to the most courageous or strongest…it goes to the one who keeps going and trying and who has belief that he can succeed because he has faith and trust in The God of Angel Armies who says the battle is already won and he is not defeated…where many saw Goliath and said he is too big, we cannot win, David saw him and thought, “he’s so big I cannot miss”…David was unafraid because he knew your size and power and that gave him confidence and courage that overcame his fear and helped him to prevail.

Our minds can be a battlefield…help us take our thoughts captive…help us to train our thoughts to submit to your Word and authority…help us to remember that many battles are fought on our knees…many battles we will have to fight more than once to conquer and prevail…help us to be persistent…help us to not grow weary in well-doing…help us to not be easily discouraged, but to have tenacious faith that doesn’t quit and stands firm on your promises. Please grant us your wisdom and knowledge and direct our steps so we can overcome and prevail. Thank you, Father, for all you’ve done and we look forward to all that is to come.
In the name of our Savior Jesus we ask these things. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!
