Daily Prayer For March 3, 2018

on Sat Mar 03, 2018 6:32 pm
Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

You are the light of the world and your Word tells us that we are the light of the world as well…as we grow in Jesus and become more like Him, the more of His light shines through us…

This world can be such a dark place…our enemy works best under the cover of darkness…secret sins, abuse hidden behind closed doors… hurtful words spewed from unseen people behind computer screens… hidden agendas, hidden wounds and hurts, covered up lies and buried truth…but your light dispels the darkness…the darkness is not dark to you and all it takes is one flicker of light to cast off the darkness… Lord, may your light swallow up the darkness that is in us…may we be transformed by the renewing of our minds and by taking our thoughts captive… may we be changed by immersing ourselves in your Word and spending time in your presence…may your light in us heal us, renew us and redeem us so we shine brightly with Jesus.

Your word says to let our light shine so people can see our good works and glorify you…we have seen this week how a humble young man from simple means in NC changed the world by letting your light of truth speak through him…we’ve heard the stories eulogizing Billy Graham and we can see how you take the least likely to do miraculous things…your Word is full of similar stories…history is full of those types of stories…you qualify unqualified people who are willing to say, “here I am Lord, use me”…

We all have a sphere of influence …help us to be shining lights that point the way to you…we aren’t all called to do big things, but we can all do little things with your love that will have a ripple effect, not just here, but throughout eternity…help us to overcome evil with good…help us to be encouragers…let us be known by our good works and for Christ’s love flowing through us… may we be known for our kindness, compassion, grace, and mercy…when others complain, let us pray…when others are tempted to put down, let us lift up…where there is hopelessness, let us speak of the hope you offer…where there is hatred and discord, help us to be peacemakers…this world is full of so much negativity…help us to be the ones who seek out the good and share it…may people see in us the reason we have hope in the midst of adversity…may they see that we live what we say we believe…may people see your peace in us during times of adversity and loss…may we continually be dying to ourselves so that more of you shines forth from us…help us to be faithful, available and teachable…life is so short…time is so short…help us to not waste time on things that are not of you and that have no lasting importance…may our words, actions and who we are as people, have eternal significance.
In Jesus’ name, we ask these things. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!
