Daily Prayer For March 25, 2016

on Fri Mar 25, 2016 11:41 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today is a solemn day as we think about all our Savior went through on our behalf…we will never fully understand this side of heaven the depths of Christ’s love that compelled Him to take on our sin…our pain… the debt that we could never pay…

Lord, there is so much we will not understand this side of heaven…so many questions that will never be answered…but several truths we can cling to…Christ lived and died and made a way where there was no way…death could not keep Him or hold Him down…if you can take something as hideous and horrible as the cross and Jesus’ death and bring new life and hope from all that pain and suffering, you can do the same from our trials and struggles…nothing is too hard for you…nothing is impossible for you…

You have shown how much you value and treasure each of us by offering up your Precious Son to atone for our sins…we can never doubt that we are loved and cared for…we can never doubt your power or strength…we can never doubt that Jesus is who He said He was… He is the Messiah…the Son of God who knew no sin, yet came to take upon Himself the weight of our sin…The Holy One who bore our shame  so we would never have to be separated from you…

Lord, we are so unworthy…yet through Jesus we can be heirs to your  kingdom.. we can be made righteous by His blood that was shed…made clean and white as snow…Lord, all we can say is a heartfelt, “Thank you”…thank you for all you did for us…thank you for your love…thank you for enduring and taking on yourself the chastisement of our sins…thank you for your grace and mercy…

Lord, when we are tempted to think that our struggles are too much…when we are at our weakest and think that we can’t possibly endure any longer…when the enemy is yelling loudly that we are done and there is no hope…help us remember the cross…help us to remember that Christ’s power is in us…help us to remember that through Jesus’ sacrifice we have become victorious and more than conquerors…we will face battles, but the victory is ours…the war has been won…we know the final outcome…

The apostles didn’t understand on the day that Christ died all that was yet to come…they couldn’t yet see the resurrection and new life that was coming…Jesus’s words didn’t make sense to them yet…but a lot can happen in a few days…history can be changed…lives can be changed…things that looked hopeless can be turned around…when you are in control anything can happen and nothing is over until you say it’s over…you have the last word always…may we carry these truths with us always, Father…we praise you and worship you and give you all glory and honor. We are more grateful than our words can convey for our Savior…our Messiah…the Lamb who was slain to save the world and in whose name we can pray. Amen.

Blessings be upon you friends!
